5 underrated Bollywood movies of 2015

Here is the list of wonderful movies which most of the people missed because of the low budget or unfamiliar star cast or poor marketing. So today on 'Those 5 things' we present you the list of those 5 underrated Bollywood movies in 2015 which should have collected 200 crores in the box office.


1. Masaan
Director: Neeraj Ghaywan
Stars: Richa Chadda, Sanjay Mishra, Vicky Kaushal


Story:
Four lives intersect along the Ganges: a low caste boy hopelessly in love, a daughter ridden with guilt of a sexual encounter ending in a tragedy, a hapless father with fading morality, and a spirited child yearning for a family, long to escape the moral constructs of a small-town.

2. Qissa
Director: Anup Singh
Stars: Irrfan Khan, Tisca Chopra, Tillotama Shome
Story:
During the 1947 partition of India, Umber Singh and his family are forced to leave their village. After two girl children, his wife gives birth to a third girl child as they flee their village much to the displeasure of Umber Singh. After moving to a new place, Umber stabilizes and his wife is pregnant again. While the fourth child is also born as a female, Umber convinces himself and his wife to raise the girl child as a son throwing up complications aplenty.

3. Margarita, With A Straw

Story:
A rebellious young woman with cerebral palsy leaves her home in India to study in New York, unexpectedly falls in love, and embarks on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery.

4. Manjhi - The Mountain Man
Director: Ketan Mehta
Stars: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Ashutosh Acharya
Story:
Dashrath Manjhi was a poor man from the lowest of the low castes, living in a remote village cut off from the world by a rocky mountain range. Life for him was a daily struggle for survival. He loved his wife, Phaguniya, beyond belief. One day, while climbing the mountain to bring him food, his wife slipped, fell and died. Overwhelmed by grief, Dashrath decided to carve out a path through the mountain, so that no one else would suffer his fate. For 22 years, all by himself, with just a hammer and a chisel, he hammered away at the rocks, till the path was carved out from the mountain.

5. Titli

Story:
In the badlands of Delhi's dystopic underbelly, Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood plots a desperate bid to escape the 'family' business. His struggle to do, so is countered at each stage by his indignant brothers, who finally try marrying him off to 'settle' him. Titli finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, Neelu, who nurtures her own set of frustrated dreams. They form a strange, mutually exploitative partnership in a desperate bid to escape the stranglehold of their family roots.
